As wrestling fans, it's part of our
job to heckle. It's hard to imagine the industry if we didn't.
However, sometimes the heckling can
get a bit out of hand. Sometimes fans get too rowdy, hit a wrestler's nerve, or
are even dumb enough to rush the ring.
So, in honor of those fans and the
due justice they had coming to them, here are some of the greatest instances
where wrestling fans get straight-up owned.
The Undertaker:
When the "What?" chants
break out, there is never a time where WWE fans are more united. It's fun, it's
powerful and it's the biggest craze amongst the people.
However, those very chants can
sometimes backfire on the ones who abuse it. Under his bad-ass heel persona,
the Undertaker seizes the opportunity and turns the insult on the fans.
In addition to being very polite
neighbors, the Canadians are a very proud people.
So, when you get their city wrong, they may lash out at
you. Here, Chris Jericho corrects a heckler who thought he was from Toronto.
Batista:
We've all seen them at wrestling
events—that fan who tries to act like a tough guy, but really isn't.
Batista decides to expose one of them. And the fact that
he was a Cena fan makes it that much better.
Jeff Jarrett:
There is a list of things one should
not do, which may entail jumping off a cliff, consuming rat poison or telling
your wife she's fat.
However, as wrestling fans, the No. 1
no-no is accepting a wrestler's invitation to the ring when he's ready to
fight. Why, you ask? Because once you go over that railing and into that
ring, he's totally in his rights to whale on you. And the odds are that he
will.
Watch as a TNA fan decides to take
his shot at Jeff Jarrett. Unfortunately for him, he gets a rude greeting from
Jarrett and what seemed like half of the promotion's roster.
Not
only does this guy prove that invading a ring is wrong, but also shows us that
wearing a Rey Mysterio mask doesn't make you Rey Mysterio.
Sabu:
We can only learn one thing from this
incident: Don't touch Sabu's turban—or else!
Mark Curtis:
Although the greatest referee is in
fact Justin King, Mark Curtis made his case way back in the days of WCW.
As a fan tries to rush the ring
during a match between Dean Malenko and Psychosis, Curtis delivers a flying
knee and a guillotine choke to the weakling.
